How we check facts
Car insurance rules affect people's money and their right to drive, so every guide on AI InsureGenie follows the same rules.
Where our facts come from
- Official sources first. For laws, limits, deadlines and fees we use the state agency or the law itself, such as the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Department of Insurance, Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and state statutes.
- Trusted insurance sources second. For prices, averages and how insurers usually work, we use insurers and established insurance publications, and we say whose numbers they are.
- Every key fact is linked. You'll see the source next to the sentence it supports, and a full Sources list at the end of each guide.
What we don't do
- We don't guess at prices or promise a rate. Quotes and final prices come from insurers.
- We don't present averages as what you will pay. Your price depends on your state, record, car and insurer.
- When sources disagree or we can't confirm a detail, we leave it out or say so plainly.
How guides are written and reviewed
Guides are drafted with the help of AI and checked against the sources listed on each page before they're published. Each guide shows the date its facts were last checked. We review guides when laws or prices change, and at least once a year.
